AFYA Half Term Rugby Camp & Coaching Program At Chester Rugby Club

AFYA Sports are pleased to announce a series of rugby development courses at Chester Rugby Club running from September- December 2018. 

AFYA will be supporting Chester Rugby Club in facilitating the RFU coaching pathway through a series of monthly training workshops for Chester’s junior coaches.

AFYA will also be running a two day rugby development course for players aged 8-16years on 29th & 30th October 2018, which will be covering the following:

Day 1
Small sided games focusing on speed & attacking space.
Skills & decision making
Basic tackle technique

Day 2
Small sided games
Wrestling for Rugby
Contact Skills
Shadowman tackle exercises
Zorbing in break

The course covers areas such as understanding your position, game understanding, fundamental skill development and assessment, defence and attacking principles, positional skills, fitness testing & programming. Players will use the unique SHADOWMAN training equipment, as used by The NFL.

Players will receive Team Building & Leadership Development Skills Training that can be used on and off the pitch.

All training will be led by professional Coaches and Players who have either played or coached at national or international level.

0900 – 1530 (early drop off available from 8am for £5 surcharge)

The course is £35 per day or £60 for both days.

AFYA Sports Netball Development Camp, Wilmslow- 31st August 2018

AFYA Sports Netball Development Camp is on 31st August and suitable for young players aged 8-14yrs. This is a fantastic opportunity to spend time developing your netball skills, focusing on this great sport and be coached by an England international.

The course is led by 25 times internationally capped player Laura Malcolm.

The main focus of the course is on
enjoyment of the game and covers:

• Games & Shooting Skills
• Team Building
• Agility & Speed Development

The older group will also be taking
time to work on strategy, positional
focus and match play tactics.

Coaching runs from 0900-1530 (drop off from 0845 and late pick up 1600)

£35 for the day.
